I run 225,45,18 tire’s on my Camry (so it doesn’t handle like a Camry). At the local Goodyear store, they run about $300 a piece. I had to replace a wheel (after pothole). So I go on Tirerack.com, get the wheel I need for around $250, then add 4 tire’s for $99 a piece. Same exact tire’s. Now every time I need new tire’s, I’ll also be getting a replacement wheel.
Edit, I did this 2 years ago, and it was a lot cheaper with 1 wheel. Tried again today. tires were same price with or without the wheel. I’m not an SR20, just an idiot. fact.

wait...the goodyear store was charging you $300 a tire?!

According to my math, you’re still spending an extra $200 every time.

Yes they were! The first time I needed tire’s I paid it, The Goodyear’s that came with my wheel’s lasted 60k miles. I figured I needed to buy a set of wheel’s to get a set of tire’s at discount $. Not the case!

One wheel $250 + 4 tire’s $400 (99 a piece) = less than $1200

Ah, the way you wrote it, I read it as buying 4 wheels and 4 tires everytime.
Are you sure the tire price isn’t the same without buying a wheel?

I checked. They give a tire discount because you’re buying a wheel from them.

Don’t go to the local Goodyear store.

I have another tip for buying tires. <- That sentence didn’t need an apostrophe, anywhere.
Yes, I’m unemployed, sitting at home in my pyjamas, “contributing” to society by correcting grammar on the internet.

Well played, sir

Well then, that’s worth it. I’ll have to check that out next time I need tires.

This makes no sense. Tire Rack charges the same price for tires whether or not you buy wheels.

You will have a full day ahead of you. Internet grammar is horrible.

$300 Goodyears eh?
But how did you get 35s on the Camry?

Please take the apostrophe key off of your keyboard and throw it away. You may have it back when you learn how to use it correctly.

Done. Please let me know when I can put them back. (tires)

Maybe the 400 dollars belongs to the wheels since it’s their price.

I like to hold Opponauts to a higher standard, but have noticed things slipping a bit as of late. The rest of the world can burn.

That’s understood. I have received
many
comments about my apostrophes. Haha

Well, if it makes you feel better, you used it correctly there. :)

This is good Oppo; thanks for the heads up. I need one new wheel and two tires, so I’ll see what bargains I can finagle.

Wait TireRack gives a discount when you put a wheel in the cart as well? How come I don’t see this happening when I try it?
